 Introduction:

 

Hello, I am an Arboricultural Association registered tree consultant, arboricultural consultant, and tree expert witness based in Peterborough.
 
I produce professional, high quality tree reports and provide advice to a wide range of clients, including individual tree owners, planners, developers, architects, loss adjusters, the legal profession, and local authorities. I also act as an expert witness.


 Specialist areas of work.

 

  • I carry out detailed tree surveys, arboricultural implication assessments, and provide method statements for development sites.

  • I produce professional reports which are compliant with British Standard 5837 (BS 5837).

  • I accept commissions ranging from small, individual extensions, to large new housing or industrial developments, and sites containing single trees to those where over 200 trees are present.

  • I perform detailed visual tree inspections relating to tree hazard analysis, i.e. safety of trees, and where appropriate, I conduct internal tree investigations using a special type of equipment known as a Resistograph F400. The use of the Resistograph provides accurate information relating to the extent of decay within a tree.

  • I act as an independent tree expert witness in legal cases, and regularly give evidence in court. I have experience as a joint independent  tree expert witness, and frequently provide evidence to planning appeals and tree mediations. I accept Legal Aid, and criminal commissions.
  • I have an in-depth knowledge of Tree Preservation Orders, and appeals, and have previously worked for the government as a Tree Preservation Order appeals officer.

  • During the last twenty years I have been involved as a tree consultant, arboricultural consultant,  in over 3,500 cases of tree related subsidence.

  • Although I am a general tree consultant, I do not produce tree reports for pre-purchase of houses.
